The Countess of Chester Hospital is a 600 bed large District General Hospital run by the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust has almost 4,000 staff and provides a range of medical services to more than 445,000 patients per year from an area covering Western Cheshire, Ellesmere Port, Neston and North Wales.
The hospital provides a comprehensive range of acute surgery and medicine, including inpatient, outpatient and day services. In addition in 2011, the hospital opened its Macmillan Support and Information Centre which offers help and support to people affected by cancer, including those who are diagnosed with the illness as well as their family and friends.
